I pride myself in being fortunate because I go the beach almost every day, which is really considered great in many ways. I check out and collect sea shells, watch the waves at any time of the day, take a dip, and watch out for sharks. However, the most enjoyable of all is to watch people in all ages and different countries frolic around in our beach. In spite of the vast diversity, one common thing they have is the use of swimwear.
After several days watching the people on the beach and checking out their swimwear, I can already consider myself as an expert and can immediately tell you that tankinis are the most favored swimwear this year. For people who are not familiar with tankinis, they are the ones that are a combination of a bikini and a one piece. The bottom resembles more as a bikini while the top is a tank top. Tankinis can be mixed and matched. You can buy the top separately from the bottom. There are people who wear matched ones while there are also some who wanted to get creative and prefer contrasting tops and bottoms.
Browsing through swimwear catalogs and websites made me notice that there are flattering designs for every body shape. These swimwear designs make you emphasize a certain feature of your body and hide the ones that don’t complement you. And it really does the job because I also bought one for myself.
Bikinis go in and out of style. Lately, I’ve noticed that they have made a comeback. During my years, only women with fantastic body shapes wear bikinis. These days, women of all ages and shapes feel confident and comfortable wearing bikinis.
However, if you’re wearing bikinis you need to watch out for the harmful effects of the sun’s rays, as you are more exposed to it since you are covered less. I purchase a swimsuit for my little grandson lately. The swimsuit comes with a built in UV protection. It covers up his entire body with a sun protector fabric. It even protects his entire body from the chlorine in the pool, which can be an irritant since naturally babies have sensitive skin. However, I haven’t seen this type of swimwear for adults yet but if there is one, then it really is a good idea.
A good swimwear should be practical, trendy, and flattering. That is why it is very important to go to a shopping store where they let you try on a variety of styles made by different designers.
One thing that I also noticed lately is that women have nice cover ups to wear on top of their bathing suits. This can be very handy if the weather gets a little cool or if you want to shield your skin from the sun for a while. Back then the standard cover ups were terry cloth robes. These days, wraps have several varieties, styles, and really gorgeous patterns.
When it comes to cost, well bikinis and other swimwear can really be expensive. Though it uses less fabric, the fabric itself comes from a durable material and is very light even if it comes in contact with water. The designs are also very nice to look at. However, there are still swimwears out there that you can buy at a lesser price but have limited designs. You’ll just have to pick the right timing for clearance sales.
